Why Uganda? The Safari That Stands Apart

  • Primate Capital of the World: Home to over half the world’s endangered mountain gorillas and thriving chimpanzee communities.

  • Incredible Diversity: Journey from the thunderous Murchison Falls to the serene Lake Bunyonyi, and from the savannas of Queen Elizabeth Park to the misty Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

  • The Source of the Nile: Adventure awaits in Jinja with white-water rafting on the world’s longest river.

  • Warm Hospitality: As a local Ugandan company, we pride ourselves on sharing our home with genuine warmth and expert knowledge.

Everything You Need to Know: Practical Safari Planning

Best Time to Go

  • Dry Seasons (Ideal): June to August and December to February. Wildlife viewing is at its peak as animals gather around water sources, and trekking paths are drier.

  • Wet Seasons (Lush & Green): March to May and September to November. There are fewer crowds, and the landscapes are stunningly green. Birding is excellent, though rain can be a factor.

Health & Safety

  • Yellow Fever Vaccination: A certificate is mandatory for entry.

  • Malaria Prophylaxis: Essential. Consult your doctor and bring strong insect repellent.

  • Water: Drink only bottled or filtered water.

What to Pack

  • Clothing: Neutral-colored clothing (khaki, green, beige). Pack layers—lightweight for day, warm fleece for cool evenings, and a rain jacket.

  • Footwear: Sturdy, broken-in hiking boots for trekking.

  • Essential Gear: Binoculars, a good camera with zoom lens, extra memory cards, a power bank, and a universal adapter.

During Your Safari

  • Our Vehicles: You will travel in a custom-built 4×4 Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof for unparalleled game viewing.

  • Our Guides: Your expert, English-speaking guide is not just a driver but a passionate naturalist who will bring the wilderness to life.

  • Trekking Tips: Hiring a local porter is highly recommended. It supports the community and greatly assists your hike. Always follow your guide’s instructions for a safe and respectful encounter with the wildlife.
